What to do about PAINT???

So, Jeremy and I have found our perfect house. YAY! Now we have started picking out paint colors. I always thought I knew the colors I loved until I actually had a house to put them in. We spent probably an hour today at Lowes looking at paint colors and we still have some reservations.....Ugh. If you have any suggestions about how to go about this or any colors in mind, please let me know.

There are 3 rooms in my house that are different colors of green. I am over it. This is why my house is still pretty much a blank canvas. I cannot commit to a color for fear that I am going to hate it when it is on the walls. Therefore, I have a pretty plain house. Good luck. If all else fails go with earth tones in the living room, red, yellow or orange in the kitchen, and a pretty blue in the bedroom( Jeremy will not think it is too girly and you can still do fun stuff with blues.)

Also, you should put up a poll on your page about paint colors in differnt rooms, that would be fun!

How about hot pink. Maybe do the trim in purple polka dots. J would love that. Or you could go with maroon and orange, and pain a giant Hokie Bird in the future babies room. Get that kid on the path to Virginia Tech early in his life.

Hi Katie,
I learned this about paint from decorating classes. Look for a fabric or rug in the room. THen look for the "background" or "blending" color in that fabric. Choose that color to put on the walls in the room - IF a light color make sure you don't go too dark (maybe a shade lighter than you love) and if a dark color like red - stay will darker version (or it can look too pink or streak). I can't wait to see your house - email any time with photos of fabrics and I show you what this means - LandL93@optonline.net.
